We offer a medicine management service, in which we use compliance packing to pack your medicines according to the directions of your doctor, which may help you to better manage your medicines.
Ask us about our medicine management service the next time you bring in a prescription, or prior to your next scheduled repeat.
We can pack your medications into weekly, monthly, or three-monthly compliance sachets. Each sachet contains the correct dose, time, and day of the medications. Each sachet also has the patient's name, date, dosage time, and list of medications.
The sachets are all in the correct order, and are wound into a roll and placed inside a box. The sachet that is due to be taken next is pulled out through a gap in the box. You simply tear off that sachet and tear it downwards from the top. They open very easily.
At Unichem Petone Pharmacy, we use Medico Pak blister packs to help you manage your medications with ease and confidence. Each card is clearly labelled with the day, date, and time of day (morning, midday, evening, and bedtime). Every “blister” contains the exact doses you need to take at that time.
Your Medico Pak is professionally packed by our pharmacy team, ensuring accuracy and peace of mind. When it's time to take your medication, simply open the blister for that time of day and take the contents — it's that easy.
To remove your medication safely:
Tear along the perforated lines to separate the individual blister.
Peel back the foil from the marked corner to access your medication.
You can also use a blunt object (like the back of a teaspoon) to pierce the backing — only light pressure is needed.
We offer Pak Poppers in-store to make it even easier.
Important:
Never push or pop the medication out through the backing. This can cause tablets to fall, get lost, or be damaged.
