Lip Enhancement

Love Your Lips: Natural, Beautiful, You.

Not everyone is born with the lips they want — but that doesn’t mean they can’t have them. Whether you’re after more volume, better symmetry, or a boost of hydration, lip enhancement with dermal filler can help bring out your best, most confident smile.

At Unichem Petone Pharmacy, our lip filler treatments are designed to enhance what’s already beautiful — with soft, balanced, and natural-looking results tailored just for you.

What Is Lip Enhancement?

Lip enhancement is a non-surgical treatment that uses hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler — a moisture-attracting substance naturally found in your body — to restore or enhance the lips’ shape, volume, and definition.

We use trusted products from the Restylane® range — a well-established brand known for safety, flexibility, and natural-looking results, especially in delicate areas like the lips.

What Can Lip Filler Help With?

Lip fillers can:

  • Add volume to thin or aging lips

  • Enhance the shape and contour of the lips

  • Correct asymmetry

  • Improve lip hydration and smoothness

Whether your goal is a subtle refresh or a little more definition, we’ll help you achieve it — naturally.

What to Expect

Your appointment starts with a full consultation where we’ll discuss your goals and design a treatment that suits your features and preferences.

The treatment takes around 30–45 minutes. Restylane® fillers contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to reduce discomfort — you may feel a slight pressure or sting, but most clients find it very manageable.

After treatment, you can expect:

  • Immediate visible results

  • Mild swelling or tenderness (usually settles within 2–3 days)

  • Final results in 7–10 days

  • Results that typically last 6–12 months, depending on lifestyle and metabolism.

Are There Any Risks?

Like any cosmetic treatment, lip fillers may cause some mild, temporary side effects, such as:

  • Swelling

  • Tenderness or sensitivity

  • Bruising

  • Redness or slight firmness at the injection site

These usually resolve within a few days.

There is also a very small risk of more serious complications, such as vascular occlusion — where filler accidentally affects blood flow. While this is rare, it’s important to treat with trained professionals who can spot and manage it early.

At Unichem Petone Pharmacy, your safety comes first. We use expert techniques and follow strict safety protocols to minimise risks and ensure you feel confident every step of the way.

Who Is It For?

Lip fillers may be suitable if you want to:

  • Add natural-looking volume

  • Define the lip shape or border

  • Improve symmetry

  • Soften fine lines

  • Enhance your smile in a subtle, balanced way

We’ll guide you through every step, from consultation to results, to ensure it aligns with your goals and suits your unique features.

Note: As with any cosmetic procedure, individual results may vary. Possible side effects and suitability will be discussed during your consultation.

Aftercare Advice

Recovery is quick, but following aftercare helps support the best results:

  • Avoid touching or massaging the area for 24 hours

  • Refrain from strenuous exercise, alcohol, or heat exposure for 24–48 hours

  • Avoid wearing makeup on the lips for 12 hours

  • Sleep with your head slightly elevated the first night

You’ll receive full aftercare instructions — and we’re here if you have any questions during your recovery.
